Today I had the valuable experience of assisting and participating in a martial arts mentoring for women, which Doris Nachtlberger led in this case on a voluntary basis for refugee women. On the one hand, I was able to learn more about qualities such as mindfulness and clarity through the body work of the course , focus, inner peace, self-confidence, differentiation, assertiveness and respect. On the other hand, the personal encounter with the women put the human aspect of the subject of refugees, which often has a negative response in the media, back into perspective for me. Regardless of whether a woman comes from Austria, Germany or Afghanistan, it is still an issue that she learns to actively create space for her human dignity. If we are in solidarity with each other and support and strengthen each other in our development process, we can carry this dignity into the world.
